Jimmie Smith

Jimmie Sue Smith, 66, of Vale died Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born June 3rd, 1955 she was the daughter of the late Flora Mae and James William Green. Sue was a very unique person that never met a stranger; she is known for her ability to tell captivating stories over and over again. She always took the best care of her fur babies, and enjoyed her Amazon shopping.

Her children, Joey Barker, Kevin Barker, Matt Barker and wife Pam, Adam Barker, Crystal Coppinger; grandchildren, Vincent Hedrick, Jacob Barker, Luke Barker, Samantha Bryson (Brandon), Cassie Barker, Joseph Hess, Abigail Barker, James Barker, Aaron Barker, Megan Barker,
Mitchell Bryant, Brandon Coppinger and Chelsea Coppinger; sister, Carolyn Turner and great-grandson Ryder Bryant survive her.

In addition to her parents, her husband Edgar Ron Smith; son, Lee Barker and three siblings preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Aaron Causby officiating. A receiving of friends and extended family will be held one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, in the Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home.
