Joann Testerman

Joann Testerman, 65, of Newton passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born February 7th, 1959 in Charlottesville, VA she was the daughter of late David Nichols and Sadie Green. Joann graduated from the University of Virginia and was a Register Nurse for 34 years. Joann was also a member of Discovery Church in Hickory and loved working with the kids. She adored her children and was very loved.

Joann is survived by her husband of 19 years, Steve Testerman; her children, Christopher Jamerson and wife Stephanie, Tina Simmers and husband Robert, Terri Testerman, Jeremy Testerman, and John Testerman; her mother, Sadie Green; sister, Faye Green and husband Andy; niece, Jennifer Breedlove; nephew, Brandon Green; thirteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

The family will be holding a memorial service at a later date.
