Joe Hedrick

Joe Wilson Hedrick (88) of Hickory, NC passed peacefully on Christmas Day at Frye Regional Medical Center. He was born July 2, 1935 to the late David and Vertie Lail Hedrick. He met his wife of 68 years while attending St.Stephens High School, after which he pursued a lifelong career in construction. He was an avid golfer and when he wasn't on the golf course, he was at home putting around the living room for his biggest fans, Pat and Holly.

Joe will be remembered for the joy he found in life's smallest moments and his appreciation for the little things. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Wade Hedrick, sister Shirley Ratchford, and granddaughter Nicole “Niki” Hedrick. He is survived by his wife Patricia Hedrick of the home, brothers Frank Hedrick and wife Pat of Conover, Hal Hedrick and Mary of Hickory, sons Rocky Hedrick and Sandra of Hickory, Mark Hedrick and wife Donna of Cape Coral, granddaughter McCall Hedrick of Utica and grandson Mason Hedrick of Cape Coral.
