Joe Teague

Joe Logan Teague, age 84, of Hickory passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Hospice House at Sherrills Ford, NC. Born November 19th, 1938, Joe was the son of the late Eugene Webster Teague and Mary Elizabeth Teague.

He was also preceded in death by his loving and caring wife, Ailene Catherine Teague; his sister Vera Teague Sheets, and three brothers Eugene Rhett Teague, Channon J. Teague, and Robert Franklin Teague.

Joe is survived by one caring and loving brother, Henry Aaron Teague, his caregiver, and three sisters, Wilma Lucille Wilson of HIckory, NC, Lou Alice Baker of Conover, NC., Brenda Cunningham of Lake Worth, Florida, a loving and caring niece, Jerri Alice Carter of Conover, and a dear friend from Hickory, Ms. Lorie Pearson, as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Joe was a member of the Catawba County Gem and Mineral Club of Hickory, North Carolina and the Hiddenite Gem and Mineral Club. Joe enjoyed spending time there digging for emeralds and other gemstones. Joe loved and trusted our Lord and Savior and he enjoyed telling everyone about the cross and what Jesus did for us all on the cross. His family and friends will miss him dearly.

The family will receive friends and family for a Celebration of Joe's life, Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 2 PM in the Emmaus Room at Concordia Lutheran Church, 216 5th Avenue SE, Conover, North Carolina.
