John Brown

John (Jack) Charles Brown, 90, of Greenville died Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Trinity Village in Hickory North Carolina. Born December 6th, 1932 he was the son of the late Gordon and Lucy Cooper Brown.

Daughter Pat Hines and husband Scott of Hickory; two sons Jack Brown Jr and wife Teresa of Rockingham, Bill Brown and wife Debbie of Chincoteague, VA; mother of his children Betty Adkins of Greenville SC; two sisters Bonnie Bishop of Greenville, SC; Katie Swett of Alabama; grandchildren Mallory Smith and husband C.J. Rockingham, NC , Ryan Brown of Winchester, Virginia, Chase Brown of Richmond, Virginia, Taylor and Gypsy Fisher of Greenville, SC, Arlie Sogard and husband Alex of Beaver Creek, Ohio, Scotti Carnes and husband Josh of Sylva, NC, Taylor Hines and wife Meredith of Hickory and 13 great grandchildren survive him.

In addition to his wife Mattie Hammett Medley Brown, his daughter Penny Leigh Brown, two sisters Gladys Jones, Betty DeMarco preceded him in death.

The funeral will be 2pm March 16, 2023 at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum at 1901 Wade Hampton Blvd. Greenville, South Carolina, 29615 with Bill Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Memorial Park.
