John Hedrick

John Kenneth Hedrick, 81 of Conover died Thursday, July 30th, 2015 at his residence. Born July 6th, 1934 he was the son of the late Tollie M. Hedrick and Johnnie W. Hedrick. He was a two time past president and active member of the Newton-Conover JayCees and a member of the Elks Lodge. He was owner and operator of J. Kenneth Hedrick Construction Company and worked with his father and brother in the construction business for many years. Two daughters, Connie Hedrick Smith of Conover and Sharon Hedrick Vetter of Jacksonville, NC; two sisters, Jeannette Rector and husband Johnny of Claremont and Annette Hollar and husband Joe of Conover; a brother, Donald T. Hedrick and wife Cheryl of Claremont; five grandchildren, Raven Mojica, Lance Smith, Garrett Vetter, Stacia and Shane Hedrick survive him. His wife of over 20 years, Hazel Keller Hedrick and a son Gary Kenneth Hedrick preceded him in death. The funeral will be 2:00 pm Thursday, August 6th, 2015 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Fred Thompson officiating. Entombment will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
