John Edward Monaco, 74, of Claremont NC passed away Friday, September 28th, 2018 at his home. Born July 8th,1944, formally from Hopewell Junction NY, he was the son of the late Carmine Monaco and Rita Waite Monaco.
John was a Navy Veteran who served our country proudly aboard the USS Newport News CA-148. John was a retired bus mechanic for the Wappingers Central School district in NY. Although retired he continued working. John was a jack of all trades and loved a project! Traveling in their RV was another of his passions.
John leaves behind his wife, Joy C.Monaco; his son, John Jr. (Dee Monaco); his daughter, Kim North-Chapman; stepchildren Lisa Cronin (Dan Cronin), and Scott Mekeel; grandchildren Katlyn, Johnny, Jeff, Justen, Lauren, Dalessa, and Amanda; great grandchildren Hannah, Jeffrey, Cali, Brodey, Jordan, Anthony, Karlee, Gianni, Annabelle, Jack and Michael. They will miss their Papa. John also leaves behind his siblings Jimmy, Denny, Debbie Pearson, and their children. In addition, John will be missed by his beloved fur-babies, Sable & Spunky. He will be dearly missed by his family and many close friends.
