John Smith

John Henry ?Bud? Smith, 78 of Hudson White Trail, Lincolnton died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born February 12, 1935, he was the son of the late John Robert Smith and Grace Edel Smith. Bud was an avid fisherman and gardener. He served as a Deacon for Trinity Full Gospel Church in Catawba. A son, Bobby Ray Smith; a sister, Rosa Mae Dellinger; and a brother, David William Smith preceded him in death. In addition to his wife, Margaret Jane Sigmon Smith of the home; three sons, Ronald Dean Smith of Lincolnton, David Wayne Smith and wife Angela of Lincolnton and Timothy Joe Smith of Morganton; a sister, Pearl Higgins of Newton; seven grand-children, Heather Phillips, Chantae Melton, Christy Andrade, Waylon Smith, Jonathan Smith, David Smith and Amanda Smith; and three great grand-children, Carmen, Jullian and Reagan survive him. A Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Coral Park Baptist Church. The Rev. Ted Clark and Woody Stacey will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Matthews UCC Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2013 at the church. Pallbearers include, David N.P.
