John Webb

Biography John Earl Webb Sr., 58, died April 10, 2011 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born January 3, 1953 in Delaware, Indiana, he was the son of John Henry Webb and mother Mary Ellen Webb. John was retired from Chrysler and served in the United States Air Force. He was an avid chess player, a sports fan of all kinds, whether playing or watching, but most of all he loved his family and friends. He was truly the life of any gathering. In addition to his parents; his wife Wanda L. Tubbs Webb; two sons John E. Webb Jr. (Kira) of Muncie, Indiana and D'Angelo Rice of Newton NC; two daughters Rachelle Joyner (Tony) and Joanie Webb both of Muncie, IN; two brothers Andre' M. Webb (Tonya) of Chicago, IL, and Larry D. Webb (Teresa) of Royerton, IN; a sister Sara E. Webb of Chicago, IL. ; 11 grandchildren; a special friend Gail Harris and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family relatives and friends survive him. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law Willie A. Tubbs and stepmother Tina Webb. A funeral Service will be Tuesday April 19, 2011 at 12:00 noon at Union Missionary Baptist Church in Indiana. Calling hours will be Tuesday April 19, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Church. Pastor W.J. Jackson will be officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, Indiana. Arrangements were entrusted to Gholar & Gholar Funeral Service in Muncie Indiana and Jenkins Funeral Home in Newton, N.C.
