Johnny Jessie Lee Carson (Sonny), age 72 of Hickory NC died Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
Born September 22, 1947 to the late Clemon Carson and Nellie Mae McGill Carson. He retired from Catawba Furniture Mall. Those left to cherish Johnny’s memory include five daughters, Pamala Carson-Phelps (Antonio) of Georgia, Brianna Carson of Hickory, Melissa Ferguson of Conover, Angelica Carson-Wright of Hickory, Kimberly Ferguson of Hickory and one son, Kevin Ferguson of Catawba.
He also leaves to cherish his memories three sisters, Fannie Cobb of Hickory, Joyce Capel of Hickory, Mary Carson of Hickory and two brothers, Kenneth Carson (Shirley) of Hickory, and William Carson (Linda) of Hickory, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, close friends and a special little buddy (Qui).
In addition to his parents, his sister Mary Frances Propst, preceded him in death.
The public viewing will be on Monday, August 10, 2020 at 1:00 PM (Mask Required).
A private funeral service conducted by Pastor Ron Carson at 2 PM at Covenant Christian Church (Mask Required).
