Johnny Helton

Johnny Wayne Helton, 68 of Newton died Sunday, October 4th, 2015 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born January 4th, 1947, he was the son of the late Ray Wesley Helton and Bertha Sigmon Helton. In addition to his wife of 50 years Barbara Helton, two daughters, Amy White of Newton, Christina Hasson and fiancé Brent of Oxford; one sister Shirley Caudle and husband Wayne of Dallas; three brothers Alvie Helton of Newton, Scottie Ray Helton, R.C. Helton of Hickory; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren survive him. In addition to his parents, a son in law Jerry Lee white; a sister Betty R. Shook; and a brother Gary Lee Helton preceded him in death. The funeral will be 4:00 pm Thursday, October 8th, 2015 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Darrell Williams officiating.
