Johnny Dewayne Major 71 of Conover died Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Carolina Caring. Born July 19th, 1948 he was the son of the late Granville Mathis Major Sr. and Ollie Bostain Major.
Johnny is survived by sons Dewayne Major and David Major; four siblings Barry, Mike, Brian, and Jackie; seven grandchildren; and four great-grand children. Johnny worked at GE, was owner of Major Iron Work, and retired from Midstate Mills. He will be greatly missed by all friends and family as was as special friend Carolyn Branson.
In addition to his parents, a brother Granville Mathis Major Jr. preceded him in death.
The funeral will be from 1:00 - 3:00 pm Saturday December 14, 2019 at Emanuel Baptist Church in Conover.
Jenkins Funeral Home staff is not involved in the memorial service at the church.
