Joseph Bruntmyer

Joseph Anthony Bruntmyer, 78 of Hickory passed away Monday, July 13th, 2015 at Sherrills Ford Hospice House after his long battle with cancer. Born March 26th, 1937, he was the son of the late William Bruntmyer and Gladys Jones. Joseph is survived by a son, Eric Brown and wife Janet of Gallatin, TN; a daughter Kim Fitterling and husband Jeff of Bridgton, MO; sons Scott Bruntmyer and wife Susan of Indian Land, SC; Thomas Bruntmyer and wife Devon of Clayton, NC; a sister Ima Bruntmyer of Sun Lakes, AZ; a brother Bob Bruntmyer and wife Mary of Galesburg, Il; six grandchildren Madalyn, Ayden, Mindy, Kaely, Ashley and Matthew; and one great grandchild Abigail. In addition to his parents, five brothers preceded him death. The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday, July 26th, 2015 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service, in the chapel.
