Joseph Oscar Craven

Joseph Oscar Craven, 77, of Lenoir died Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at his residence. Born October 24th, 1947 he was the son of the late Charles and Mary Craven. He served two tours in Vietnam in the United States Army. He also loved golf, racing, football and his animals.

His wife, Betsy Craven; daughters, Lynn Hamby (Grant) and Lori Vestal (Randall); his son, Chuck Craven (Tali); grandchildren, J. Logan Greene, Elyse Sluder, Mark Vestal, Emily Vestal, Conner Hamby, Cameron Hamby, Eric Corpening, Eli Craven and Jagger Craven and great-grandchildren, Isaiah Greene, Everett Greene, Hailey Sluder and Corbin Hamby survive him.

In addition to his parents, his brothers, Charles Craven, Perry Craven and Patrick Craven; preceded him in death.

His funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Dry Pons Baptist Church with Rev. Rob Evans officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at the church.
