Joseph Moore

Joseph Edward "Jo-Jo" Moore, 51 of Hickory died Wednesday, July 25, 2012 his residence. Born October 2, 1960, he was the son of Elmer Ray Moore, Sr. & Irene Moore. Jo-Jo was an employee of Lake Hickory Marina and attended First Presbyterian Church of Hickory North Carolina. He was a life-time resident of Hickory as he volunteered his services for a number of years at the Hickory Soup Kitchen. A brother, Elmer Ray Moore,Jr. and wife, Bonnie of Saltville, VA,; sisters Peggy Joyce Moore of Chilhowie, VA, Gail and husband, Mike Jackson of Chilhowie, VA, Frances Wagner of Conover, Cynthia Marie Barnett of Conover, and Lisa K. Cox and husband, Jimmy of Spruce Pine; seven nephews, six nieces, four great nieces and four great nephews survive him. The Memorial Service will be 5:00 PM Sunday July 29, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church of Hickory. The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 PM Monday July 30, 2012 at Jenkins Funeral Home.
