Joshua Potter

Joshua Wayne Potter, 21 of Clearview Ct. Conover, died Thursday October 30, 2008 as a result of a car accident. Born June 15, 1987 in Catawba County he was the son of Edison and Rebecca Lynn Whitt Rookard. He enjoyed spending time with cousins and other family. He loved life and even in death he shared life as an eye donor. A son, Joshua Edward Potter of the home; a sister, Katie Jolynn Whitt of Conover; a brother, Kenny Potter of Burke County; maternal grandparents, Bobby and Sherry Whitt of Hickory, an uncle, Charles Whitt of Hickory and an aunt, Anne and her husband Eric Christopher of Catawba; cousins, Chandler and Amanda Whitt of Conover, Andrew, Anthony and Erika Christopher of Catawba and many other relatives survive him. The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Faith Baptist Church in Newton with Pastor Tommy Young officiating. Burial will follow at Welcome Baptist Church in Catawba. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Jenkins Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Carolina Donor Services, 205 Plaza Drive, Greenville, NC 27858.
