Joshua Ruch

Joshua Alan Ruch, 38, of Newton passed away Monday, April 17, 2023 at his home. Born December 13th, 1984 he was the son of Donna Brown, Andre Gaston, and Steve Ruch. 13 his favorite number, his favorite color green, he loved with a passion especially his kids. Joshua loved twirling his girls' hair, had a passion for documentaries, loved bowling, golfing, and interacting with people. He loved physical touch and affection, and was a tender and loving soul with a genuine heart. From an early age, he heard from God. He was the light in every room. Every person he met became a long time friend of his; he had such a way with words that touched people everywhere he went. Joshua loved to be loved and had many friends through his walk in life. He was protective of all those that he loved, and he adored and cherished his mama.

He is survived by two daughters Jaden and Jaylee Ruch; a son Joshua Ruch; his parents Donna and Ron Brown, Andre and Sandra Gaston, and Steve and Svetlana Ruch; the love of his life, Jennifer Starnes; six sisters Jessica Ruch, Jennifer Ruch, DeShauna Gaston, D'Andrea Gaston, Kreshenda Colbert; Lauren Mobley; two brothers Joseph Brown and Cedric Rorie; his grandmother D.K. Richardson; nieces and nephews Jordan, Zylah, Floyd, Zaven, Xane, Delmeyauntae, Jamel, D'Yanna, Kani, Kaiden, Cayla, Krys, Caleb, Landon, and Ethan; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Wilbur and Maria Homer, Larry and Karen Ruch, and Louise Gaston.

The family held a private Celebration of Life.
