Juan Jose Vasquez, Jr., 56, of Hickory died Sunday, May 27th, 2018 at his residence after a brief illness. Born November 25, 1961, he was the son of the late Juan Jose Vasquez Sr. and Hermalinda Vasquez of Texas.
He proudly served and was a veteran of the United States Army and the Army Reserves.
Juan is survived by two daughters, Blanca Vasquez of Texas and Hope Vasquez Galloway of Virginia; two sons, Val Vasquez of North Carolina and Gavin Gabriel of New York; brothers & sister of the heart, Henry & Marylou Morales of Texas and Doug Cook of North Carolina; four sisters, Estella, Margaret, Monica, & Rosa of Texas and three brothers Daniel & Martin of Texas and Alberto of North Carolina as well as grandchildren and the many people touched by his acquaintance.
Juan was a forever Dallas Cowboys fan that never lost his love of Texas with his move to North Carolina. He loved to kayak, raft, hike, and most things in the great outdoors. He will be greatly missed.
