Karlheinz Mueller

January 21, 1941 — December 5, 2021

Karlheinz Mueller, 80, of Hickory passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side, on Sunday, December 5th, 2021. Born Tuesday, January 21st, 1941 he was the son of the late Carl Müller and Maria Weber. Karl lived in the United States since 1965 but was a proud German and always stayed true to his roots. He eventually settled in Hickory as the nearby Blue Ridge Mountains reminded him of his German hometown. Family was very important to him; he loved his wife, daughters, and grandchildren immensely. Karl was an avid soccer fan and world traveler. He was also a proud member of the St. Aloysius Church parish and choir. His family will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his wife Elvia Perez Mueller; five daughters Patricia Mueller (Manny Cotilla) of Miami, Anneliese Kapp (Schalk) of Stellenbosch South Africa, Stephanie Fahey (Danny) of Chicago, Nathalie Mueller (Erik Hodowanic) of Fishers Indiana, and Adrienne Mueller (Bryan Montgomery) of Raleigh; seven grandchildren Jacqueline, David, and Daniel Cotilla of Miami, Miller and Sebastian Kapp of Stellenbosch South Africa, and Kaitlyn and Liam Fahey of Chicago.

He also has a younger brother Werner Müller of Frankfurt, Germany.

A memorial service will be 10:30 am Friday, December 10th, 2021 at St Aloysius Catholic Church at 921 2nd St NE, Hickory, NC 28601.
