Katrina Swaim

Katrina “Trina” Joyce Barker Swaim, 42 of Hot Rod Road, Catawba died Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born April 9, 1969, she was the daughter of Larry Kent Barker and Joyce Ellen Crabb Barker of Catawba, NC. Trina was a loving wife and mother. In addition to her parents; her husband of 25 years, Robbie Dale Swaim of the home; three sons, Robbie Dale Swaim, Jr, Wesley Scott Swaim and Devan Markes Swaim, all of the home; two sisters, Rebecca Diane Barker Moore and LaDonna Kay Smith, both of Sherrills Ford; and a brother, Larry Kent Barker II of Lenoir; three nieces, Ashley Taylor Moore, Halie Brooke Moore and Sommer Shian Smith; and numerous aunts and uncles survive her. A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor John Blankenship will officiate. Burial will follow in Startown Jenkins Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2011, in the Chapel at the funeral home.
