Katy Nance

Katy Lou Stallings Nance, 87, of Vale passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Hickory Village Memory Care. Born November 10th, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Albert Hillard Stallings and Dovie Lynn Stallings. She loved to garden and crochet, and always enjoyed watching her NASCAR.

She is survived by her daughter Debbie Edmondson (Gary) of Sherrills Ford; a son Bobby Nance (Becky Merhi) of Vale; four grandchildren Jeremy Nance, Brandy Nance, Shaun Nance (Heather), and Cassandra Hedrick (Scotty); and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clyde F. Nance; five sisters Annie Mae Starnes, Florence Hedrick, Betty Jean Everheart, Mandy Holland, and Beulah Taylor; two brothers Jimmy Stallings and Clyde Stallings; one great-grandchild Austin Hedrick; and her beloved little dog Mister.

The graveside service will be 11:00 am Monday, November 8th, 2021 at Catawba Memorial Park with Kenneth Moyer officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm-6:30 pm Sunday, November 7th, 2021 at Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home.
