Kaye Deal

Kaye Deal, 79, of Conover died Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born November 21st, 1943 she was the daughter of late Herman Victor Long and Ruby Estelle Stroud Long. She received a Masters Degree from Lenoir Rhyne College. She loved art and music and enjoyed sharing this with others. She worked for Catawba County School System for 10 years and she loved seeing the changes in the children she cared for. She will be missed by her three cats, Bella, Sam, and Timothy. She was a wonderful cook and mother. She was an avoid reader and loved the Lord. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church.

Special Friends; Annemarie Blackmon, Lisa Bumgarner, Jeanne Frye, and Tammy Petty of Fresh Oil Ministries.

She is proceeded in death by her loving husband of 30+ years, John Wayne Deal. Infant brother, Larry.

She is survived by her daughter Melanie Catherine Deal of Conover, five brothers; Barry Long (Linda), Lynn (Maggie), Keith (Sandy), Charlie (Jill), Quincey and sister Kim Bumgarner Long (Byron) and multiple nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service is scheduled for Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 10:00AM at Concordia Lutheran Church

Memorials may be made to Safe Harbor in Hickory and Humane Society of Hickory.
