Kay Glenn Waters, July 31, 1949 – November 14, 2023
“Death is not putting out the light. It is only extinguishing a lamp because the day has come.”
Kaye lived her life with purpose and kindness. Her wish was for those that knew her and loved her to celebrate all the goodness that surrounds us as a way of remembering her. Even though her physical body has left us, it is her example of living each day fully that comforts us.
Kaye is survived by her husband, John Waters; her son, Thomas waters and his wife Nikki Waters; her daughter, Kecia Waters; her grandchildren, Thomas Waters Jr., Owen Waters, Chelsea Waters, Akil Tolliver, Red Tolliver, Sharif Tolliver, and Keionna Tolliver; and several great grandchildren.
Instead of a formal service of remembrance, she leaves with you one of her favorite passages from the Bible:
“This is the Day which the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
Psalms 118:24
