Keith Eidson

Keith Manuel Eidson, 61 of Conover passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 29th, 2017 at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center. Born February 16th, 1956 he was the son of David Edward Eidson and the late Wally McHargue Eidson. He was a 1974 graduate of Hickory High School at which time he excelled in talk radio, disc jockeying and many other oratorical accomplishments. He then graduated from Appalachian State University in 1980. Keith was president of Trade Shows Incorporated. He was a troop leader of Boy Scouts and was an avid car collector, motorcycle enthusiast, and a lover of music.
In addition to his father, a son, Patrick McHargue Eidson and fiance Jordan Helton of Hickory; a grandson Luke Edward Eidson; a daughter, Taylor Eidson Matthews and husband Michael of Walnut Cove, NC; a sister, Tricia Lou Eidson of Claremont; a niece, Jessica Criswell and husband Chastain of Asheville survive him.
The funeral will be 2:00 pm Sunday April 2, 2017 at Rose Chapel United Methodist Church 813 Turnersburg Hwy in Statesville with Rev. H. Cowles Bristol, lll officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Chapel UMC Cemetery in Statesville.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 pm Saturday April 1st, 2017 at Jenkins Funeral Home 4081 Startown Road in Newton.
