Kenneth Bowen

Kenneth Maurice Bowen, 78 of Hickory died Tuesday, June 9th, 2015 at his residence. Born April 19th, 1937 he was the son of George Washington Bowen and Mary Shoemaker Bowen. His wife of 38 years, Faye Herron Bowen of the home; three daughters, Donna Martin of Fredericksburg, VA, Laura Bowen of Fredericksburg, VA and Amanda Braghirol and husband David of Woodruff, SC; three sons, Tony Bowen and wife Heather of Hickory, Charles Herron and wife Beth of Columbia, SC and Dwayne Herron of Hickory; eight grandchildren, Bridget Pittman, Madison Wilkins, Carter Wilkins, Tristan and Elliot Braghirol, Amiyah Bowen, Ashley Herron and Bruce Martin survive him. The funeral will be 3:00 pm Thursday, June 11th, 2015 at Winkler's Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Faulkenbury officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 pm Thursday, June 11th,2015 at the church. Memorials may be made to Winkler's Grove Baptist Church, 3320 9th Av Drive NW, Hickory, NC 28601.
