Kenneth Clark Thomas age 61 of Iron Station passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on August 14, 2018. He is now in the loving arms of His Savior Jesus Christ. Born January 22nd, 1957 he was the son of the late Charles Thomas and Shelby Thomas Davis.
Services will be held Saturday August 18 2018 at Calvary Baptist church in Charlotte, NC. The family will receive friends from 11:00 - 12:30 followed by the funeral service at 12:30. Jenkins Funeral Home of Newton NC is serving the family.
Kenneth was born in Abingdon VA and lived his adult life in the Paw Creek, NC area. He was a loving father and and grandfather who enjoyed fishing, playing softball, darts and pool. He loved watching the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Braves play ball. He was a long time employee of George T Woods and later Climatech HVAC.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean and CW Thomas of Iron Station NC and
is survived by a daughter, Kenna Holt (Chris) and two grandchildren, Ethan and Kayliegh Holt of Maiden, NC. One sister, Chris Craig (Roger) ; four brothers Winky Thomas and Randy Thomas of the home; Gary Thomas (Susie) of Stanley; Ray Thomas (Jenny) of Lincolnton; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
