L. C. Briggs

L.C. Briggs, 79, of Claremont died Monday, March 7, 2022 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born, June 28th, 1942 he was the son of Anderson and Aletha Briggs. He was loved by his family.

His wife of 36 years, Sheryl Briggs; two sons, William Briggs (Treena) and David Towe (Aleta); a daughter, Tracie Fulbright; four brothers, Willard (Joan) Briggs, Leonard Briggs, Kenneth (Janice) Briggs and Howard (Jewell) Briggs; three sisters, Opal (Charles) Shook, Maggie (Art) Wilmoth and Flossie (Edison) Fox; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren survive him.

In addition to his parents, his son, Larry Briggs; brothers, Clifton Briggs (Louise), Edgel Briggs (Carlis), James Briggs (Carolyn) and Stevie Briggs and sisters, Mary Ellen Murphy and Barbara Ammons preceded him in death.

The funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Jenkins Funeral Home with Pastor James Safrit officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service and burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
