Lafayette Jarrett

Lafayette William Jarrett, 75, of Newton died Monday, May 8, 2023 at the Asheville VA Medical Center. Born May 7th, 1948 he was the son of the late Albert and Harriet Jarrett.

Those left to share beautiful memories are his extended family; Terri Lawing, Sylvia Law and Jerry Law (Amanda); grandchildren, Tristan Lawing, Tevin Lawing, Shakendra Mack, Ashley Law and Tysheona Parson; great-grandchildren, Ty'Zir Davis, Kyran Davis, Kysen Davis and Kordin Lawing; sisters, Shirley Easter, Brenda England, Cynthis Woodward (Carolos) and Donna Toliver (David), and his brother, James F. Blake.

In addition to his parents, his special friend, Catherine Jarrett preceded him in death.

The funeral will be 12:30 P.M Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Jenkins Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Hamilton officiating. The family will receive friends from 12-12:30, and burial will follow at Hollybrook Cemetery in Lincolnton.
