Larry Elmer Day

Larry Elmer Day, 81, of Hickory died Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born August 5th, 1943 he was the son of Clifford Woodrow Day and Georgia Ruth Day. Larry worked at Clayton Marcus for 37 years, he enjoyed gardening, crafting, going to church and being around people. He loved his family and church family very much.

Larry is survived by wife of 63 years, Juanita Day; son, Larry Michael Day and wife Jennifer; daughter, Kim Paysour and husband John; brother, Gene Day; four grandchildren, Kendall Paysour, Chase Day and wife Tyler, Matthew Paysour and wife Savannah, and Ally Day; great-grandson, Hudson Paysour; soon to be great grandchild, Eleanor Day; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Parents; brother, Jack Day; sisters, Pat Griffin and Lillie Mae Day; and nephews, Eric and Phillip Christopher preceded him in death.

The funeral will be Sunday, January 19, 2025 at 1:15pm Hope Hickory, 130 16th St SE, Hickory, NC 28602. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:15pm to 1:15pm Sunday, January 19, 2025 prior to service.
