Larry Hilton

Larry Dean Hilton, 68 of Zion Church Rd, died Monday June 2, 2008 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born November 18, 1939 in Catawba County, he was the son of Ruth Sain Hilton of Hickory and the late Ray Conrad Hilton. He was a devoted husband of 47 years, a loving father and grandfather. In addition to his mother, his wife, Mary Jo Hilton, three daughters, Leslie Carol Eggers and husband Kenneth of Hickory, Tracie Dean Hilton of Hickory and Jennifer Whitworth and husband Kevin of Hickory; three brothers, Donald Hilton, Gene Hilton and Stephen Hilton, all of Hickory, seven grandchildren, Jason Davis, Cassandra Pierce, Taylor Pierce, Ashley Eggers, Kayla Whitworth, Olivia Whitworth and Justin Dietz; and a great grandchild, Lydia Jones. A Celebration of Larryâ??s life will be 4:00 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2008 at Zion Lutheran Church in Hickory with Pastor John Woodard officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-4:00 p.m. Thursday at the church. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church Building Fund, 1911 Zion Church Road, Hickory, NC 28602.
