Lathan "Eli" Wilson Hester Jr.

Lathan "Eli" Wilson Hester Jr, 75, of Lincolnton passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024 in his home. Born, November 4th, 1949 he was the son of the late Lathan Wilson Hester Sr. and Myrtle Lee Hester. He had a love for traveling to the mountains but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. 

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rhonda Hester; his children, Melinda Fulbright (Ellis), George Hester (Crystal), Becky Mitchell (Jeremiah), John Hester, and Lisa Hester Usher; his siblings, Dave Hester and Barbara Bumgarner; his grandchildren, Kayla, Abigail, Mason, Ryan, Preston, Lauren, Ryan, Bryan, Chloe, Alyssa, Summer and Makenna; and his great-grandchildren, Gabe, Noah, and Ashley. 

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sons, Phillip Hester and Robert Hester; his siblings, Ann, Janie, and Elaine. 

The family will have a Celebration of Life 2-4PM January 4, 2025 at Lawing's Chapel Baptist Church located at 4637 Lawing Chapel Church Rd, Maiden, NC 28650.
