Letha Mae Helton Parlier, 80, died on May 8, 2016 at the Lutheran Home's Trinity Village of Alzheimer's Disease. She was born in Catawba County on April 11, 1936 to Blanche and Rodney Helton. She owned Hickory Quilting of Longview. She was an excellent cook who shared those talents with family as well as with St Andrews Lutheran Church where she was a member.She loved crafting and needlework. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband,Thomas Parlier; a granddaughter, Missy Parlier; and two sisters, Sue Griffin and Evelyn Wilkinson. Surviving are her children, Darin and Lisa Parlier; Amanda Hildebran; Tommy and Vicki Parlier; and Pam and Danny McCoy. Her grandchildren include; Andrew, Jacob, Ethan, Chelsea and Tyler Parlier, Grace and Levi Jiles; Kadie and Randall StrandPoole; Jessica and Adam Garrison; Alysha and Matt Parlier; Emily and Ben Monette; and Leah and Daniel McCoy. She has also been blessed with seven great grandchildren, Vivian, Madilyn, Tristen, Patrick, Aiden, Ashley, and Thomas. A private family service will be held at a later time.
