Lillian Bowman

Lillian Lucille Bowman 90, of Hickory passed away peacefully Thursday, June 9th, 2016 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born March 11th, 1926, she was the daughter of Edward and Annie Echerd. Two daughters, Joyce Herman and Dewey Jones of Newton, Gaye Isenhour and husband Dennis of Hickory; a son Clay Setzer of Hickory; two brothers, Dr. Robert Echerd and wife Betty of Greensboro, Jimmy Sipe and wife Dean of Conover; ten grandchildren; nineteen great grand children; ten great great grand children and a number of special friends and family survive her. In addition to her parents, her first husband Buster Setzer, her late husband Hurby Bowman; two sisters Helen Hefner, Arline Hall; three brothers, Edward Echerd, Bernard Eckard, Richard Lee Setzer, and a grand son Daniel Lee Isenhour; and a daughter in law Millie Setzer preceded her in death. A memorial will be held at 4pm Sunday, June 12th, 2016 at Saint Andrews Lutheran of Hickory with Pastor Richard W. Fritz and Pastor O. Ralph Kraft officiating. The family will receive friends from 3-4 pm Sunday at the Church. Memorials may be made to Catawba Regional Hospice at 3975 Robinson Rd, Newton, NC 28658.
