Lillian Thacker

Lillian Barnell Thacker, 89, of Hickory passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at her residence. Born Thursday, April 6th, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Walter and Fanny Stepp.

Three daughters, Ann Matthews (Bruce) of Claremont, Paula Hughes of Conover and Leslie Green (Kelly) of Granite Falls; two sons, Lester Green of Hickory and Bobby McFarland of Hickory; one sister, Elizabeth Shelton of Hildebran; six brothers, Loyd Stepp of Hickory, Jimmy Stepp of Raleigh, Floyd Stepp of Raleigh, Bill Stepp of Glen Alpine, Kenneth Stepp of Tennessee and Dan Stepp of Connelly Springs; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren survive her.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Jim Thacker, two daughters, Elise Gilbert and Linda Cornell and two brothers, Russell Stepp and Clarence Stepp preceded her in death.
