Lillie Daye

Lillie Mae Daye 81, of Hickory died Friday, May 31, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Born April 28th, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Clifford Woodrow Daye and Georgia Ruth Daye. As a nature lover, she spent a lot of her time gardening and working in her yard.

Two brothers, Clifford Eugene Day of Maiden and Larry Elmer Day and wife Juanita of Hickory; a sister, Patricia Ann Griffin of Lenoir and numerous nieces and nephews including, Dwayne, Phillip, David, Karen, Lisa, Robin, Dana, Angie, Mike and Kim survive her.

In addition to her parents, a brother, Jack D. Day preceded her in death.

The funeral will be 1:30 pm Thursday, June 6th, 2019 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:30 pm Thursday, June 6th, 2019 at the Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
