Linda Duncan Corpening, 70, of Mount Holly passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. Born September 24th, 1951 she was the daughter of Olis Winston Duncan and Leona Rebecca Duncan.
She worked for 26 years at Bassett Furniture and for 22 years at BB&T, where she was a Vice President. She was a lifelong, active member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Al Corpening of Mount Holly; her sister Margaret Davis of Conover; her brother Clyde (Alice) Duncan of Conover; her sister Dorothy Duncan (Tommy) Kepley of Salisbury; brother-in-law Gray Childers; sisters-in-law Martha Duncan and Shasta Duncan; Al's daughter Kara (Brant) Davenport, grandson Blue of Greensboro, and son Ian Edward Corpening of Hickory; niece Karen Williams and great niece Harli Owensby; many nephews and nieces, including Roy Helton, Rhonda Hester, Wayne Shook, Cindy Clark, Natalie Davis, Tim Childers, Amy Martin, Mike Duncan, Thad Duncan, Greg Duncan, Dana Williams, Eric Duncan, Angela Hensley; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents Olis and Leona Duncan, siblings Lona (Coney) Helton, Lorene Childers, Perry Edmond Duncan, James Winston Duncan, and William Ellis Duncan, and she special dog Oprah.
The memorial service will be Friday, July 8, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Luke's Lutheran Church 4051 King Wilkinson Rd, Lincolnton, NC 28092 with Pastor Glenn Roseman officiating.
Jenkins Funeral Home will not be involved in the service at the church.
