Linda Gales

Linda Kaye Gales 67 of Newton died Saturday January 25th, 2014 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born December 24th, 1946 she was the daughter of Hugh Levon Houser and Pearl Emirth Robinson. In addition to her husband Kenneth (Larry) of 37 years, four daughters, Leslie Sue Taggart and husband Dean of Dallas, NC, Elizabeth Gail McGraw and husband Daniel of Hickory, NC, Shannon Danielle Smith of Lincolnton, N.C., Tonia Macchia and husband Mike of Hudson, NC; a son Brad Farrar of Forest City, NC; two sisters Mary Beaverson of Conover and Sylvia Chambers and husband Bob of Sherrills Ford, NC; a sister in law Eileen Houser of Hershey, PA; one brother Gene Houser and wife Carolyn of Hickory, NC; one brother in law Robert Ward of Hickory, NC; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild survive her. In addition to her parents Hugh and Pearl Houser; two sisters Margaret Faye and Glenda Sue Houser; a brother, Jack Lamar Houser; and a brother in law, Gerald Beaverson preceded her in death. The funeral will be 6:00 pm Wednesday, January 29th, 2014 at Christ Church, 2416 Zion Church Rd. Hickory, NC with Pastors Jesse Smith and Derek Cline officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-5:45 pm Wednesday January 29th, 2014 at Christ Church in Hickory. Memorials may be made to Catawba Regional Hospice at 3975 Robinson Rd. Newton, NC 28658.
