Lloyd Bogart

Lloyd Bogart, 93, of Newton died Thursday, October 14, 2021 at his residence. Born November 19th, 1927 he was the son of Mark and Cecelia Bogart. A world war II veteran, he served in the United States Army and retired after twenty years. Lloyd was a captain at the Newton Fire Department in the 1970's and also a fire instructor for eleven years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 19 and taught in hospitals, factories and Fire Departments.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Helga Bogart of the home; son, Josh Bogart and wife Joan of Rocky Mount, NC; Mark Bogart and son-in-law Michael Paxson of Clayton, NC; Daughter Inga Bogart of Berlin, Germany; granddaughters Emma and Hannah Levy of Apex, NC and grandson Dallon Bogart of Spokane, Washington.

In addition to his parents, three brothers, Jack Bogart and Frank Bogart and Bob Bogart preceded him in death.

The funeral will be 12:00P.M. Monday, October 18, 2021 at Jenkins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
