Lloyd Crooks

Lloyd (Root) Talmadge Crooks went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday August 17th, 2016. He was 68 years old, born September 18th, 1947. He was preceded in death by his father Nowlin Talmadge Crooks and mother Nettie Sue Schronce Crooks, a brother Robert Lee Crooks and a nephew Bobby Walker. He is survived by his daughters Tamara Crooks Morton and husband Billy of Newton, NC also Carrie Contessa Crooks of Myrtle Beach SC, as well as fiancée Barbara Roark and her daughter Asa Lebrie. He has 3 brothers Jr Crooks (wife) Irene of Hickory NC, Arland Crooks (wife) Nancy of Hickory, NC, and Powell Crooks of Hickory, NC also two sisters Patsy Jean Pitts (husband) Darrell of Bethlehem, NC and Beverly Van Huss (husband) Forney of Icard , NC. He has two grandsons Andrew Morton and James Morton both of Newton, NC also numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Life will be held at Startown First Baptist Church Saturday August 20th at 3 P.M. A receiving of friends will be held from 2-3 P.M. at the church.
