Lois Wilkinson

Biography Lois Jonas Wilkinson, 87 died Monday, June 20, 2011 at Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley. Born December 16, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Burgin Jonas & Barbara Jane White Jonas. Lois worked for Commonwealth Furniture, Kaiser Roth Hosiery and Bassett Furniture for many years. She loved flowers was a member of Startown First Baptist Church. A daughter, Myra Wilkinson Watson and husband James of Vale; two sons, Claude Daniel Wilkinson and wife Maelene of Mocksville, NC and Marshall Wilkinson and wife Patty of Newton; a sister Dorothy Johnson of Vale; eight grand-children and 15 great grand-children survive her. In addition to her late husband, Claude Frances Wilkinson, Sr.; a son, Billy Wilkinson; a sister Connie Hoyle and two brothers, D.B. Jonas Jr. Herman Jonas preceded her in death. The funeral will be 2:00 pm Friday, June 24, 2011 at Startown First Baptist Church on Sigmon Dairy Road. Burial will follow in Startown Jenkins Cemetery on Startown Road. The Rev. Dean Hart and Rev. William Church will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the funeral home.
