Loyd Williams Jr.

Loyd Allen Williams Jr. "Cowboy" passed away January 12th, 2024, at Carolina Caring. Born, June 19th, 1946 he was the son of the late Loyd Allen Williams and Delcie May Williams.
He is survived by two sons, James Williams of Claremont, and David Williams of Clyde; two daughters, Cynthia Bradley of Canton, and Teresa Hudson of Claremont; a sister, Bobbie Hoyle of Waynesville; a brother, Johnny Williams; eight grandsons; eight granddaughters; five great-grandsons; five great-granddaughters; and a longtime friend and caregiver, Sheilah Parson.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Eddie Johnson, and Kenneth Williams; and a sister, Lou Ella Williams.
He worked at Bassett Furniture of Newton for forty years and retired when he was 70 years old.
The family will receive friends from 1-1:30PM Wednesday January 17, 2024 in Jenkins Funeral Home Celebration Center. The funeral service will be 1:30PM in Jenkins Funeral Home Celebration Center. A burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery located at 2858 NC-150, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
