Luria Boyt Wilson Taylor, age 96 of 826 South Grier Street of Lincolnton, passed from this life to life everlasting in Christ Jesus on August 25, 2013. Luria was born December 7, 1916 to the late Charlie and Ella Reinhardt Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband Seldon Taylor; sons Gene and Larry; sisters, Lydia Mosteller, Georgia Stone, Bessie Carpenter; brothers Arlo and Russell Wilson and daughter-in-law, Jane Noles Taylor. Luria is survived by sons, Ted Taylor of Lewisville, Texas and Joel Taylor of Lenoir and daughters, Cathy Taylor of the home and Dot Taylor Heavner of Vale;a sister Tots Fincannon of Vale, NC; Thirteen grandchildren, Cindy Jackson, Kelly Taylor, Talina Short, Michael Pressley, Kim, Brandon and Jimmy Dallas Taylor, Jessie Parker, Michael Allen, Donna and Dan Heavner and Donnie Knight. Twelve great grand-children, Wesley Jackson, Haley Richardson, Kristen Webb, Monica Miller, Steven Short, Jessica and Lilly Parker, Dillon Clack, Orlando and Gabby Pahuamba, Cody and Aydan Heavner, Alea Rowell and Patrick Edge. Five great, great grand-children, Zoey Jane Webb, Makala Miller, Steven Jr., Benjamin, and Autumn Short. Mrs. Taylor was a Gold Star Mother whose son Gene died in the Korean War. She worked in textiles until the age of 80 staying active, although at a slower pace until a few weeks before her death. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who left a legacy of love, hard work and faith. A Memorial service will be held 3:00 P.M. Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Riverview Baptist Church located on River View Road in Lincolnton. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
