Lydia Nancy Dawson, 77, of Maiden died Saturday, December 7, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. Born April 3rd, 1947 she was the daughter of the late Clarence Newton Lowe and Pliney Ellen Dawson.
Her husband, Henry Dawson of the home; daughters, Lisa (James) Finney of Sherrills Ford, Melissa (Steve) Bompus of Claremont, Miranda (Keith) Mitchell of Newton; her sons, Billy Eugene (Regina) Salyers of Welch, WV, Clifford Salyers of Welch, WV; her siblings, Tommy Lowe, Teddy Lowe, Freddie Lowe, Douglas Lowe of Atwell Mountain, WV, Franklin Lowe of Tazwell, VA and Delphine Payne of Lexington, NC; her grandchildren, Robbie (Felicia) Dawson of Maiden, Michelle (Tyler) Kennedy of Newton, Matthew (Ashley) Beal of Maiden, Lakeisha Dawson of Maiden, Brandon (Taylor) Dawson of Maiden, Cassie Salyers of Welch, WV and Cayden Rose of Welch, WV and her great-grandchildren, Kayla Dawson of Maiden, Everleigh Kennedy of Newton, Elliott Kennedy of Newton, Bailee Beal of Maiden, Kaitlynn Beal of Maiden, Emily Dawson of Maiden, Faith Riggan of Maiden, Asher Dawson of Maiden and Hailey Osborne of Welch, WV survive her.
In addition to her parents, her siblings, Ronnie Lowe, Clarence Lowe Jr., David Lowe, Betty Jo Keene, Lissie Frances Rose, Donna Lowe, Peggy Scarberry, Jean Hampton, Rosa Lee Stacy, Shirley Johnson and Glenda Sharol Mullet preceded her in death.
The funeral will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Jenkins Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Lowe officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 P.M. in the Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home and burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family would like to say a very special thank you for two amazing women. These two went above and beyond the last several months. They have sacrificed so much of their time taking care of Nana and Paw. We love you beyond words could ever say, again thank you Felicia and Lakeisha Dawson. You two will always hold a special place in all of our hearts. We all love you.
