Mack "Butch" Eggers

Mack "Butch" Vernon Eggers, Jr. 58 of Hickory died Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at his residence. Born April 13th, 1963 he was the son of the late Mack Vernon Eggers Sr and Mary Alice Eggers. He was an avid sports fan and loved anything to do with ball. He played sports since age four. He coached for many years and made sure his children had the opportunity to play sports.

Two daughters, Brooke Eggers of Banner Elk, NC and Violet Cannon of Hickory; two sons, Jeremy Eggers and fiance Christina Eggers of Jacksonville, FL and Hunter Cannon of Hickory; a grandson, Braiden Eggers; two sisters, Terri Eggers of Hickory and Alice Eggers of Banner Elk and a niece, Harley Eggers and a nephew, Tyler Stafford survive him.

In addition to his parents, two sisters, Missy Ramsey and Beth Shoemaker preceded him in death.

A Celebration of Life for Butch will be 1:00 pm Monday February 21, 2022 at the chapel of Jenkins Funeral Home with Pastor Dana McKim officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11:30am-1:00 pm Monday at the Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Mountain View Recreation Center.
