Mai Thai Chang, 82 of Hickory died Friday May 10, 2013 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born December 31, 1930 in Laos, she was the daughter of Xaicha Thao and Pla Vang. She was a homemaker.
Three sons, Pangyang Chang of Hickory, Lamang Chang of Hickory and Chang Chang of Newton; three daughters, Wer Chang, Yer Chang Yang, Kazoua Chang Yang; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren survive her.
The funeral will begin Friday, May 17, 2013 and conclude Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Jenkins Funeral Home & Pavilion in Newton. Burial will follow on Sunday at Catawba Memorial Park.
