Marc Eckard

Marc Ellis Eckard, 63, of Conover died Wednesday, April 3, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Born September 19, 1960, he was the son of the late Ellis Cloer Eckard and Peggy Bass Eckard.

He was an avid camper and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed fellowshipping and was very active in his church, Woodlawn Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish his memory include; one daughter, Angelica Eckard (Andre), brothers; Roger Cornett (Janice) of Conover and Bobby Cornett of Conover, Sisters; Donna Austin (Bobby) of Hickory and Debra Eckard of Hickory, Denna McMaster of California. Four grandchildren; Hailee Melanson, Jayden Theodore, Jaylyn Theodore, and Jayliana Theodore of Conover.

His parents; Ellis Cloer Eckard, Peggy Bass Eckard and biological mother Gail Marine Ballard, sisters; Elona and Sonya, two sons; Steven Eckard and Matthew Reitzel preceded him in death.

The family will receive friends Monday April 8, 2024, 3-5 pm at Jenkins Funeral Home Celebration Center.
