Margaret Reep

Margaret Louise Blackburn Reep, age 92 of 17th Street NW Hickory died Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born July 12, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Frederick James Blackburn Sr. and Sara Wilfong Blackburn. Margaret was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Newton and worked a number of years at Thornton Elementary School Cafeteria. She "lit up" when in the company of her grand-children and great grand-children. A daughter, Carol Watson and husband Gary of Hickory; a son, William Reep, Jr. of Hickory; a sister, Josephine Blackburn of Lincolnton; a brother, Freddy Blackburn of Dallas, NC; two nieces and one nephew; two grand-children, Sean and Andy Watson; and three great grand-children, Noah, Izzy and Ella Watson survive her. Her husband of over 40 years, William Reep Sr. preceded her in death. The funeral service will be 2:00 pm Monday, December 27, 2010 at Jenkins Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. Steve Disher & Rev. Arthur Yount will officiate. The family will receive friends 1-2:00 pm at the funeral home, one hour prior. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery.
