Margaret Faye Houser Ward, 69 of Saratoga Drive, Hickory died Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Wake Forest University Medical Center. Born December 1, 1942 in Cleveland Co., NC , she was the daughter of the late Hugh Levon Houser & Pearl Emirth Robinson Houser. Faye was a member of Faith UCC. She enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening and shopping. She retired from Catawba County Schools after 14 ½ years. She was a Mawmaw to all children at Mtn. View Elementary & Blackburn Elementary. She was a wonderful loving, caring & heart giving wife, mother, grand-mother and great grand-mother and sister. In addition to her husband of 53 years, Robert Millard Ward of the home; two daughters, Robin Michelle Reynolds & husband Chris of Hickory and Regina Paige Wright of Hickory; three sons, Robert Michael Ward of Hickory, Rodney Brent Ward of Hickory and Randall Todd Ward & wife Brenda of Hickory; two sisters, Mary Lea Beaverson of Conover, Linda Kay Gales & husband Larry of Newton and Sylvia Gail Houser & husband Bob Chambers of Cary; a brother, Hugh Gene Houser & wife Carolyn of Hickory; a sister in law, Eileen Houser; 13 grand-children, Amanda Ward Burris & husband Josh, Megan Watts Beaver and husband Mat, Gage Ward, Josh Wright, Chris Reynolds II, Seth Wright, Zac Ward, Madison Bradshaw, Makayla Ward and Crystal Parker, Dalton Rhoney and Jacob Rhoney; and three great grand-children, Reagan Burris, Harper Burris and Jalie Bollinger survive her. A sister, Glenda Sue Farrar and a brother Jack Lamar Houser and brother in law, Gerry Beaverson preceded her in death. A Celebration of Faye?s Life will be 5:00 pm Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor?s David Crump and Roger Lee will officiate.
