Margarita Gonzalez Leyva 79 of of Conover died Saturday, September 3, 2022. Born Wednesday, August 4th, 1943 she was the daughter of Gregorio Leyva and Manuela Perez Leyva.
Margarita is survived by Rafael Gonzalez Leyva (son) of Hickory; Javier Gonzalez Leyva (son); Maria del Carmen Gonzalez Leyva (daughter); Margarita Gonzalez Leyva (daughter); Sergio Gonzalez Leyva (son); and Gustavo Gonzalez Leyva (son).
Her husband, Jose Carmen Gonzalez Figuera, preceded her in death.
Margarita was born in Guanajuato, Mexico and loved her family. She was very active in her church.
The Funeral Mass will be held Monday at 4pm at St. Aloysius Church 921 Second Street NE, Hickory with Deacon Franscisco officiating. Burial will follow at Jenkins Cemetery at 4081 Startown Road, in Newton.
