Margie Hipps

Margie Beulah Mae Hipps, 87, of Morganton, died Friday, February 4, 2022 at Deer Park Health and Rehabilitation. Born August 8th, 1934 she was the daughter of the late William Thomas Hall and Betty Elizabeth Hall. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was an avid fisherman. She was a devoted member of Mountain View Baptist Church Number 2 where she taught Bible School and Sunday School.

Two sons, Bobby Gene Hipps of Morganton and Tommy Len Hipps of Morganton; a daughter, Judy Diane Benfield of Avery County, NC; a sister, Edith Viola Shelton and husband William of Conover survive her.

Her husband of 66 years, Clifford Franklin Hipps preceded her in death.

The funeral will be 2:00 pm Monday February 7, 2022 at Mountain View Baptist Church Number 2 with Pastor Ken Mashburn officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Church Cemetery in Morganton.

The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 pm Monday February 7, 2022 at the church.
